It is a feeling that can only be described as exhilarating
There is an excitement that comes with waking up in a new destination. A pull that forces you out of bed because there is so much to see and explore. There is also the satisfying knowledge that if you decide you would rather stay in bed all day and have food brought to you, that is perfectly acceptable too!
For the past three months, I have been busy helping clients recreate this feeling after a year of going nowhere. I am reinvigorated by how many destinations are re-opening but also being realistic about the current restrictions. It is a delicate balance, but one that I have learned to manage by relying on my trusted partners on the ground to give me the inside scoop on what destinations are really like right now.
This month I am sharing three of my favorite destinations and hotel properties that clients are checking in to.
1. Checking in to: Rio Grande, Puerto Rico

About the destination- The name Rio Grande literally translates to 'Great River,' and this area is known for its lavish hotels, championship-worthy golf courses, iconic restaurants, and the El Yunque National Rainforest.
About the resort- After a $60 million renovation, the luxurious St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort is paradise set on 483 acres. It is perfectly situated between El Yunque and Espiritu Santo River State Preserve and boasts two bird sanctuaries, two miles of secluded beach, daily champagne sabering, and the legendary St. Regis butler service.
PRO TIP- As a preferred partner with St. Regis properties I am able elevate your experience and benefits at all 46 St. Regis properties around the world.
2. Checking in to: Savannah, GA

About the destination- Twenty-two picturesque squares dot Savannah's city center, but do not let them distract you from the bustling waterfront area... or the food! Savannah is a city that wears many hats. It attracts ghost hunters, foodies, history buffs, and some of the brightest young artists in the country thanks to the Savannah College of Art and Design.
About the hotel- The goal at Perry Lane Hotel is for guests to experience true Southern hospitality. This pet-friendly hotel is the kind of place that makes you never want to leave. Get comfortable in the beautifully designed guest spaces with a book from the library, or take a private tour of Byrd Cookie Company, only available to hotel guests.
PRO TIP- Make a reservation for afternoon tea and use your $100 Virtuoso credit that all my clients receive to upgrade it to a boozy teatime.
3. Checking in to: San Jose del Cabo, Mexico

About the destination- San Jose del Cabo is one half of the destination that makes up Los Cabos. Los Cabos encompasses two resort areas, San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas in the Baja California Sur region of Mexico. San Jose del Cabo is known as the quieter of the two but has gained popularity as an artsy area, with some of the most popular farm to table restaurants located just minutes from the historic town.
About the resort- Las Ventanas Al Paraiso has long been a popular resort for those who love the sophistication of Rosewood Hotel properties. One of the best features of Las Ventanas (besides the spectacular views) is being able to customize your stay with experiences like aromatherapy turn down service, a bed sheet menu, private flights from select airports in the U.S., and a butler service.
PRO TIP- Make a reservation for the Oasis Margarita & Taco sampler from Taqueria, which I include with my bookings.
Perks, personal contacts, and a firsthand knowledge of hotels and destinations that are open to U.S. and Canadian travelers are just a few of the benefits of working with Traveluxepro for your next vacation. When you are ready to wake up someplace other than your bedroom, the couch. or your kids' bunk bed, reach out! Until next month, stay healthy and travel safely.
